8.1a) When a player has fulfilled his contractual obligations to a Franchise, A Franchise can choose 3 to be restricted free agents (RFA) and has the right to go to another team if he so chooses. This is where the dice come in. First, we must identify which of the RFA you want to try to retain. Those are any players that had a 1 year contract in the previous season that just finished, whether those players were signed to a one year contract, or in the final year of a multi-year deal. Any player’s you do not want to re-sign automatically become un-restricted free agents (UFA). You will roll the dice and have a 50% chance of retaining the player.
When determining a RFA salary after the season, it will go up, stay the same or drop depending on how he finishes the season.

8.1d) Once a player leaves your team, don’t worry, all is not lost. You still have an opportunity to get him back by outbidding everyone else for his services.
8.3a) During the off-season from the start of the free agent period until August 21, all UFA will be claimed via the Proxy Bidding Auction Process. Any team making a bid will acquire the player when their bid is uncontested for 16 hours. After August 21 Blind Bids will be processed every Wednesday until the start of the season. After that FCFS starts until the kickoff of week one. The Blind Bids and FCFS will be assigned a default contract of one year. The owner has the option to change this to 1-5yr within 24 hours of getting the player by posting on the message board. Once the season starts until the end of your season, blind bidding and FCFS decides where free agents land. All contracts are due 72 hours after Free Agency closes.
Once the season kicks off, free agents are acquired through the blind bidding process (BBP) and first come first served (FCFS) only. These players get one year contracts. At the end of the season 1 player picked up through blind bidding during the season can be extended 2 more years. All of the other blind bid players can't be tagged
8.3b) From the start of the free agent period until the start of the regular season, any players cut from a team must be bid on to acquire. All players must be given contracts before being traded.
